In my family portraits, my goal is to capture each family as they are. I want you to see the love that you have for each other as a family. It is in those small glances, big laughs, head shakes, and chasing toddlers around and working with challenging teenagers (who love to take selfies on their phones but hate the thought of a family shoot) that make your family photographs ones you can look at and fall in love with. You see, your connection isn’t with me and my camera/lens. Your connection is with each other, that is where the love is found. Much like any of my other shoots, I will always catch the standard posed “look at me” type of images. However, what I really want to see are those laughs, the smiles, the quirks, the ones that make your family unique. The way mom may laugh so hard while dad is holding his head, all while a toddler is running out of control. This is life! This may be your life and many other families’ lives too! So let me capture it!! These magical moments are priceless. My goal is that you get your gallery and sit and go through so many emotions when you see all the posed and candid images. From the sighs of someone looking away to the laughs of someone’s expression and to the children who you just know are going to give me a run for the money while chasing them to get their pictures.

What I want you to know most is that these images I capture for you are equally as important to me as they are to you. I will sit, smile, laugh, and sometimes cry laughing as I go through them. Because capturing those moments that are so fleeting and being able to freeze them in time is what makes me love my job so much. From the beginning with maternity shoots, newborn shoots, to family shoots, one thing always remains the same. That is the love that your family has for each other and I LOVE finding it and being able to show you. And leave you feeling you have found your forever photographer.
